Looks like the FUTO protest story is far from over as new information reaching us from reliable source has it that the former SUG comrades and ROCHAS OGBONNA who where accused of mobilizing futo student and staging a protest which led to the destruction of school facilities worth millions were re-arrested and are currently been held at the STATE CID OWERRI.
We recall that the protest which happened in FUTO led to indefinite shut down of the school,and subsequently,15 FUTO student where arrested by the police including the former SUG members accused of master minding the protest.This arrests made students stage another protest for their release which the police did after series of considerations and deligations.
As at the time of this report the school has remained shut down and no activities whatsoever is going on within school premises,and school management are already making plans to fine student of the damages.
It was gathered that ROCHAS OGBONNA was invited to the state CID to make statement regrading the situation,when he showed up was subsequently detained.
The reason for this second arrest is yet to be made public.On the other hand,the school resumption date is yet to be announced,though rumours has it that academic activities will commence between 13th - 16th March.
The school management when contacted on the resumption date,its speculated that the resumption will be on 3rd April and if unianimously agreed on,students will be duely informed.
