FUTO Discloses Resumption date for academic activities for the 2016/2017 Harmattan semester Break
The management of the Federal University Of Technology Owerri have finally released an official statement regarding the resumption date for academic activities for the 2016/2017 Harmattan semester through its registra/secretary to Senate Mr. John U. Nnabuihe,its management subsequently charged students for damages during the 17th February students protests.
Below is the full statement of the memo issued by the school authority:
All students and the general public,
RESUMPTION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES FOR THE 2016/2017 HARMATTAN SEMESTER
All students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri are hereby informed that the University will resume academic activities in the continuation of the 2016/2017 Harmattan semester as follows :
Year One (I) students are to return on Monday May 8 2017.
Year Two(II) and Year Three (3) students are to return on Wednesday,May 15th 2017.
While Year four(IV) and year five(V) students are to return on Monday, 15th May 2017.
Please note that students will be allowed into the campus only after proper clearance on presentation of the following :
- Evidence of payment of approved fees in addition to damages surcharge of N12,000 (twelve thousand Naira) Only per student.
- Notarized undertaken of good behavior.
Students are therefore advised to pay all their fees plus the surcharge and obtain the notarized undertaken before the resumption date.
All undergraduate students should note that the 2016/2017 Harmattan semester examinations will commence Three (3) weeks after resumption of studies.
